A Message From Kirk Soileau, CEO
The heart and soul of Oakdale Community Hospital is not found on a spreadsheet or in the strategic plan. The heart and soul of our hospital is found within the people who come to work here each day, year after year. It is their shared vision, their commitment, their clinical skills, and their hope for a healthier community that makes the difference.
Although a newcomer to Oakdale, I was raised one parish over and know this area well. I know how important Oakdale Community Hospital has been and always will be to the families it serves. Here neighbors are taking care of neighbors, and everyone is connected through family ties or friendships. I also know the community can count on each member of our hospital team. Above all else, they are here for the families we serve in sickness and in health.
There is an adage that says “History knows no resting places and no plateaus.” This is certainly true for Oakdale Community Hospital. We have many important goals and plans for the future which we will share with you every step of the way. You and your family are our first priority, and we will continue to improve our service at every level within our hospital. Please let us know how we are doing. We value your input and suggestions.
In closing, I would like to say that I have worked at many hospitals through the years, and I can assure you that Oakdale Community Hospital is not just another hospital. It is certainly not just another hospital for me. Oakdale Community Hospital truly has a heart and soul and is a cornerstone of the community. I am pleased to now be a part of this outstanding hospital’s future.
We appreciate your trust. We appreciate your support, and we appreciate being your hospital. Thank you for allowing us this privilege and opportunity.
