Lacy Duke, Medical/Surgical RN, was selected as the Employee of the Quarter, 3rd quarter 2014. Lacy has worked for the hospital since 2005. She started as a patient care attendant while working on her RN degree. As a professional Lacy is always going the extra mile to take care of our patients and help her coworkers. She is one of the dedicated charge nurses and leaders on the medical/surgical unit. If you are looking for Lacy at the hospital during the day you probably will not see her because her regular schedule is working the night shift.
Mrs. Duke is an outstanding hospital employee deserving of this award and nomination. Commitment to the organization and professional behavior are qualities the employee of the quarter displays on a consistent basis.

Several high school students from Allen Parish participated in the 2014 “AHEC of a Summer” program at Oakdale Community Hospital. This program is designed to expose high school students to the possibility of pursuing a career in health or medicine. Students are also educated about skills and requirements necessary for pursuing a health care profession. The program was conducted for approximately 3 weeks. Becky Johnson (RN), HR Director, served as the clinical guide. Jared Manuel, teacher at Oakdale High School, served as the instructor for the program.
Patsy Johnson, Medical Records Specialist, was selected as employee of the quarter for the last quarter of 2013. As an employee for over 10 years it is easy to see that Patsy is a truly dedicated member of the hospital team. She is one of those people that always go above and beyond to do her work, and also to help others. If you have the chance to encounter Patsy she will greet you with a huge smile and ask in the most polite manner “How can I help you”!

John Morein was selected as the Employee of the 2ndQuarter for 2013. John has been employed at Oakdale Community Hospital since 2009 as a nursing supervisor. He has worked as a RN for over 20 years. As one of the nurse leaders, John is a team player and provides great support to the entire staff. His colleague wrote, “John is a great resource for many employees, he is always positive and engaged in his work”. “John is a great example of honesty and integrity”. John and his wife, Melinda, live in Oakdale where they are very involved in their church and the Oakdale community.
